Nothing fancy really, as it always was.

Well, time passed by quickly and sure enough, many things happened, whether for the good or bad. To begin with, after my STPM exams, i was suddenly so-very-free just for a few days before getting back on the busy phase. And there i was, alongside Eu Gin, Wai Kit, Keng Yearn and Rachel, the major casts of A Love to Remember, tried making our very first video for the Christmas event in AGC, which, amusingly didn't make it on screen that very day due to lack of experience and preparation, also not forgetting the short span of time given since we thought of doing it only on the very last minute. But thank God it happened at last, and the youths got to watch it during their Christmas camp reunion.

Then again, after a few days break on January, i already started on the working phase as a promoter at The Robinsons, Mid Valley The Gardens and got transfered the next month to Isetan, KLCC. Working at the men's department has its own upside and downside to it and i'm just glad i made some good friends and quitted on the 10th. Just 3 days after, i was back working under the same company doing admin work this time around, until the end of the month. I chose to quit because i felt really cheated. I have to admit my colleagues are nice people, bosses included, but at the rate they were paying me and knowing the fact that i helped in times of emergency since one of their staffs just left, and i didn't even give into consideration other job offers that came to me, and for all that i've done for that company (in which i will not disclose its name), all these were enough to make me leave.

Okay, enough of fretting already! I believe God has a plan for everything that has happened, even if sometimes it took me longer to accept it. Maybe He wants to take some rest, or to do better or more beneficial things. I don't know...

Eu Gin was down with fever, cough and sore throat on Sunday night and i'm glad that atleast i could accompany him while i'm jobless (lol). What a way to put it. But seriously, i was so bothered yesterday at the fact that i'll be so bored today. And guess what? I eased my boredom through online window-shopping. For a few hours, i browsed through 30 over blogshops and i could say that i had quite a fun time. I wouldn't mind doing this for a few days straight but i really hope that i could start working again so that atleast i have a valid reason to shop. Until next time~!

So Much for the Love of Biology

Hey people. I'm very much glad to be able to update. But i'm pretty lost in what to write actually, since i'm no longer keeping in check every events happening in my life anyway. It's all about homework now. Speaking of which, i really want to thank God for my recent test results.

Interesting fact: Our hearts make LUP DUP sound instead of, DUP DAP (as used in my previous entry title). I just learnt that recently. Well, not actually. I just have to live with the fact that i have practically forgotten everything i had learnt in the past years of studying, up till form 5.

As for youth meetings, i have been playing the piano for 3 weeks consecutively, and i thank God once again for helping me, despite the fact that i hardly touched any musical instruments for a very long time. And not forgetting the rest of the band members.

I find it difficult to breathe now. It is suffocating. Either my nose is blocked, or my peripheral chemireceptors are not working well. Or the electrical impuls went haywired and sent to my expiration centre instead! Which is why i am lack of oxygen. Because my cells are being supplied by deoxygenated blood. Oh! Then this is not very much different than being a blue baby! Okay, fine. I'm not going to continue. I'm really starting to feel like crap.

PS: Michelle Low has left to SP to pursue her studies at Aimst. All the best girl, and take care. God bless you.

Until next time~! Thanks for being my faithful reader. ;)

I'm finally LEGAL

I told myself that it won't be THAT hard to actually drop by a quick update about myself after doing some typing for my Biology report. So, okay, now that i have done it, the next problem is... what should i write about?

To start off, life's going pretty well for me. I'm as healthy as i am. Except that i'm chubbier than before. >.<"

Went to watch Hairspray today. Is it trying to tell me that big girls are beautiful?

Oh yes, i had my 18th birthday celebrated pretty uniquely this year, with loads of surprises and singing!

I had the youths coming over my place to sing me a brithday song, with a photographer-in-training, John K The 7-year-old Kai Ying was also present although it was late. How sweet of her to tag along. Eu Gin also came with a cake he first baked.

My bestie, Jo Lyn gave me a call which made me cry.

My classmates and friends sent me birthday wishes. I got to keep in touch with them.

I came to school, entered my classroom and was surprised to see my classmates all present, as they sang me a birthday song. I made them finish my cake!

Pn. Buyah and the visually impaired students from the Resource Room Volunteering Service (RRVS) presented me a card sweetly written and decorated using Braille.

The night before my family and i had dinner at a korean restaurant.

That night itself i celebrated birthday with my grandparents, auntie, cousins and family.

And i got to do revision during supper at a cafe!

Compared to the previous years, I received lesser presents, yes. But i am grateful nonetheless. Because these memories are truly wonderful, like they say, "some things are what money can't buy".

From The Heart

Ahhh.... it's great to be back! Not to say my NS camp is lousy, i reckon it's one of the best, just that i prefer my own home sweet home. So happy to be back with my family yesterday. I've always thanked God for giving me such a loving family. And those days where i often argued with my siblings should be long gone. I don't see ourselves arguing that much already. Now that i'll be staying till the 9th, i'll try to make the best of my time by packing, shopping, eating and hanging out.

About the food served in my camp, they were overall okay. The drinks tend to be too sweet though. Not sure why, but maybe their food doesn't suit me. I took laxatives but still were suffering from constipation. Which is why i'm now trying oats and cereal to see which should i bring to camp. Maggi mini will be a good cure whenever my mouth 'itches'. Besides, it said there, "No MSG added".

Back in camp for the last two weeks, we still hadn't done much yet. They took about 1 week of briefing while we got used to the place, another of class (on Character Building). Some of us only tried Flying Fox on Wednesday. Otherwise, our activities revolved mainly around watching video and tarian poco-poco.

My daily schedule:
5:45 AM - Wake up, wash up, change, daily devotion
6:30 - PT Pagi (warm up and morning exercise)
7:30 - Breakfast, change
9:00 - Class
10:30 - Break
11:00 - Class (continue)
12:30 PM - Lunch, laundry, rest, change
2:30 - Physical training (so far we only had briefings/ talks)
5:00 - Tea break
5:30 - Playtime (tarian poco-poco)
6:30 - Dinner, bathe, change
9:00 - Reflection (been watching videos)
10:30 - Supper
10:45 - Roll call
11:00 - Change, brush teeth, journal, diary
12:00 AM - Lights out

One of the highlights was the trip to Kota Bharu. Last Wednesday, each NS camp in Kelantan sent out a team to attend PDRM's 200th Anniversary and 42 of us went. Sad case was that the air-cond in the bus wasn't functioning well, and it was blazing hot that day. But then again it was all worth it. We got to see police troop armed with M-16 march, band, 10 men jump from planes with parachutes, helicopter, explosions, police-catch-thief demo and lots more. It was truly an experience!

Our weekend consists of Friday and Saturday. It's boring sometimes because the television channels are limited to only tv1, tv2 and tv3. I brought Taming The Tiger by Tony Anthony and finished it on April Fool's Day. That day, plus Monday were still our free day, in conjunction with the Sultan Kelantan's birthday, with an additional of Tuesday, when one of the staff passed away on Monday night. So, the teachers had to be away to attend his funeral. No doubt you can really imagine how bored i was. I slept until i could no more and still whining here and there. I knew i needed more entertainment. Therefore, i'll bring my mp4 this time and maybe more books to fill up my time in the weeks to come.

It was a miracle how i discovered i could go home. Earlier i heard the girls say there was going to be a holiday at the end of March, then they said it was cancelled. So i asked my dorm teacher about it, but she wasn't sure herself either. Later, another girl told me she had confirmed with a teacher that there WON'T be a holiday for us. I suddenly thought of Easter while journalling one night, and ask if maybe God will allow me to go home if i finished my book by... say, Wednesday? And miraculously, on the next day, the official opening day of NS, they announced the holiday for Good Friday and Easter Day will be on 5th April (Thursday) till 9th April. Dumbstruck, i shared this with my friends and thanked the Lord for answering prayer.

I also discovered myself the reason i was chosen for NS. Besides living a good testimony for Christ and sharing the Good News with others, i learnt to really depend on Him. Because i was forced to be away from home, and was worried, paranoid and afraid, i only had Him to trust and depend. No more whining to daddy, no more surfing the net, eating as i wish and takig things for granted. I had to be independent while God sent angels (my friends) as my companion. It was like an extended mission trip that hasn't ended since Feb 8. I continue to grow much in the Lord daily. With this, i hope to encourage my brothers and sisters in RBS '07 to keep up the spiritual discipline we'd cultivated, thanks to the help our staff members, uncle Dex, auntie May Lee, Colin Kirton, Rudi and Dorothy. God bless!

My Heart Goes DUB DAB

Okay, i got to be quick! It's 2:33 AM dated 18 March now and i still am not halfway through packing for NS. I remembered i had the duty to blog. Just an update actually. So appreciate!

Feb 28 - Watched Dream Girls. Love it! Except the part where Effie's singing was pretty annoying. Started missing dad.

Marc 1 - Morning walk with Abbie, Avin and Eu Gin. Baked cookies. This was my third time baking and first time for Eu Gin. Of course, we did a few mistakes here and there but who cares? Our cookies tasted great! I believe that a picture speaks a thousand words so listen to them.

First step

All ingredients ready

Best smile you can find on cookies

Then the chef decorates...

Tadaa~!!! Enlightened myself with some course books. It was my first time atttending prayer meeting since i came back from RBS. It seemed the shortest ever, maybe because i was desperately needing prayers. About my NS application for a nearer camp and DADDY to come home soon. Cried myself to sleep.

March 3 - Dinner at Taiwan Noodle House then band practise. Love the feeling!

March 4 - Morning walk. Church. Besides, i've been journalling so i guess there isn't much to be written anyway.

A brief summary of what i learnt in RBS:

Met a lot of different people there, 44 other students excluding me, plus 5 staff members, auntie Kam Yoke (the great chef!) and Tutik. Some can 'click' very well with me, some not, some are irritating, some are nice, some are quiet, some are noisy, and blablabla. And inspite our differences, we could still live together. It was not altogether easy, but i learnt to be patient and bond with them. I was especially anxious most of the time about my health and so many other things. But there, i really felt God's presence with me, His prompting, and His peace. Forced to do daily devotion in the morning in a silent environment, it taught me to be still and listen to what He has to say to me. I also slowly got used to journalling after realising its importance. One of the highlights there was jungle-trekking, my least favoured activity. I almost fainted halfway through climbing up to Gunung Jasa but thanks to my friends, and also God's strength, i made my way up there! My mission trip to Bentong with team Cornwell taught me to be independent. As an assistant leader, i tried to not whine and complain so much and i made hard-boiled eggs for breakfast! Cool. RBS did not change my life dramatically but rather, i discovered and understood many things now and is eager to change to a better christian. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and i have not regret going for it.

Team Cornwell

Cornclay (Cornwell+Macclay)

By Deco team. So, why not you go for RBS 2008 and experience it yourself? Haha... You'll enjoy it (I don't mean it's all about fun when i said "enjoy"). Drove to Bank Pertanian Malaysia (BPM) to open a bank account but didn't bring my IC. Again to another branch near Ampang Point (AP). They did not allow unless the NS notice letter is shown. Lousy. Grocery shopping after dinner. Was both happy and sad. Happy, because it was my first grocery shopping ever since i was back from RBS. Sad, because i did not quite shop. But will be going to TESCO and Watsons again! Missed reunion wit RBS friends in MV. =(

Feb 23 - Delayed morning walk after MIA in 6 days! Walked to AP, back to Eu Gin's place. Got angpau! Yay, now i've got one more, but only 22 in total. =( Evening movie Rocky Balboa with Eu Gin in Galaxy. Indeed, i can't help it when i'm living in a world as busy as this.

21st Dec - Went Christmas shopping in AP with Eu Gin. Choir practise at Anna's place in the evening.

22nd Dec - Went Christmas shopping (again!) in Sungei Wang, from 10:30 AM till 10:10 PM including dinner. =P

23rd Dec - Did as above (again!) in Times Square and Isetan, but with Yee Ann this time. Sang Christmas carols around houses near church and then to Su Ann's uncle's place.

24th Dec - Christmas lunch at KDE. Performed as a group of choir. Dinner at uncle's restaurant, Summerfield, in Tung Shin. Walked around Bukit Bintang and returned just in time for Christmas countdown. Sean became super naughty!

25th Dec - Merry Christmas and a happy birthday to JESUS!, Anna, Angie and Ching Sung! My family and i went to my uncle's place at Puchong at noon. Came back but missed the first carolling session in Great Easten Mall. Made it to uncle Jeffrey's place at 7:30 PM for carolling and dinner. Everything went well until Joe made me cry. ='(

26th Dec - Did half the Ultimate Goal book. Totally not worth it if not for that cute kid. Ahh... -.-" The message of the movie really did not quite deliver well. Was Patrick Tam trying to tell us how bad the society is, and how much can they cause their children to suffer and stuff? Hm... Really should have watched Deja Vu or Happy Feet instead.

28th Dec - Finally! A day spent with grandparents after a long while. More like a day to repair all my accessories actually. Hehe. But nonetheless, thanks grandpa! Congrats to sis who got straight As in PMR and the rest who scored well! =)

That's all for tonight! Until then~!

PS: I'm feeling a little bit anxious about going to RBS. It will last only after 5 WEEKS! Met ANNA, Andy, Andy, Chin and Jasper there.

Celebrated Kai Ying's 6th birthday on the 19th.

And just as i got busier and busier after SPM, never a day without outings, movies, camps and etc etc, including today's plan to shop for christmas presents for everyone in Sg Wang, my handbag got snatched while Abbie and i were still walking around our housing area heading towards the bus stop. We did not see it coming. We really did not expect it to happen. Not at this season especially. And we did not even see his motocycle number plate. We just knew he was wearing black all the way, with black helmet and black bike.

So there. Abbie and i walked back to her house. I cried while calling my dad. Eu Gin came to comfort me as my dad was on his way back from work. And as the saying goes, a friend in need in a friend indeed. Therefore i'd like to thank Abbie and Eu Gin very, very much and let them hear, "I love you guys!". I thank God that i was not alone during the incident. That i was not at all hurt. In fact the snatch-thief did not touch me even. And that my real IC was not inside my purse.

I lost my Samsung X-660 handphone, purse consisting RM300, photostated IC, Touch n Go card, house key and my lip balms. Bummed totally. I love my phone so much i tell you. And now i won't be able to get you people any gifts, sorry. Lessons learnt today is to AVOID using handbags, keep your money in your pockets, walk against the direction of cars coming, stay extra alert in housing area especially and at all times.

Today i was busy making police report and retrieving my new SIM card of the same number i was using all along. To all my friends who are reading this, please send me a message alongside your name so that i can save your contacts atleast. However i do not plan to use a new handphone at the moment. So yeah... You are least expected to receive my reply whatsoever until i decided i should have a new phone.

The moment i stepped into my grandparents' house today, after many days, and greeted them, the first thing my grandma did was to call me over to give me a white top. It looked really pretty with ribbon and pink sequins on it. A total delight after such bad day. Seriously. And i really thank God for sending me angels in times of despair even though my grandparents still know nothing about today's incident.

I also want to specially thank Yee Ann for being concerned by calling just to talk tonight.

I cannot seem to understand why but bad things keep on happening these few days. I just can't help it losing things like my earrings, the flower which fell off from my hairclip, etc etc.

Nevertheless, upon realising the fact that my lip balms are gone, now i can have a reason to use my newly bought ones.
