  • From the bottom of my heart, I thank you

While I was preparing for my finals during my second semester (which has just ended) in UMS, I suddenly thought of my teachers. Those who taught me in uni right down to my primary school teachers. They are:

    Primary school
    1. Pn Lee - my class and maths teacher from primary 4 to 6.
    2. Pn Maria - my BM teacher.
    3. Pn Bebe - my science teacher, whom handwriting I admired.
    4. Pn Zuzaina - my BM teacher, who taught me karangan, and tutored me at her house. Back then, we would have a mini party monthly after my lesson. She would fry her delicious keropok and we would watch Child's Play together.

    Secondary school
    1. Mr Mano - taught me English. A fun and witty person. I was nicknamed 'The Eleven O'clock Caller' because I used to call her daughter (my bestie!) around that time everyday.
    2. Pn Tan - my class, modern and add maths teacher from form 4 and 5. Nicknamed 'The Dolly Teacher' by me and my friends, as she looked like a dolly; cute in her bangs. She taught the class in a very organised way, which is SO my way, seeing I'm a high C person (refer DISC profile).
    3. Pn Saadiah - my chess club advisor. She never failed to entrust me with the club.
    4. Mr Tiew - my History teacher, who also used to be my auntie's classmate. What a small world! I'd never forget how he sacrificed his Daim chocolates for me. I still remember, it was a day whereby Jo Lyn and I went to some school for some quiz. I kept asking and he never hesitated offering his Daim chocolates. He also offered us some famous dao sa pau.I also recall typing History exam papers from states all over Malaysia for him. My typing speed was improved because of that.

    Pre-U
    1. Ms Chia - taught me maths. My favourite! She never gave up on me though I failed her countless times. I owe her a lot.
    2. Pn Mahzabeen - my Biology teacher, aka Jeeva's favourite teacher! Haha... A beautiful teacher who loves coffee and comforted me when I was too scared to dissect white mice. I cried in the lab and she kept on telling me I could do it.
    3. Mr Latun - taught me PA. A humourous teacher, although sometimes sarcastic, brought a lot of joy to the class. I enjoyed listening to his stories every time.
    4. Mrs Lee - my CF advisor. A person who has a passion for God and His people. Kind and always sharing her life experiences.
    5. Pn Buyah - my RRVS advisor. A dedicated teacher in educating blind students. Thank you for letting me lead the club and watering plants in the Braille Garden.
    6. Mdm Elizabeth - taught me MUET. A person after God's heart. Passionate in teaching her students to speak good English.

    University
    1. Ms Ann - taught me Grammar and about life. She never failed to attend all my curiosities. If you know me, I am not easy at all to entertain.
    2. Profesora Consuelo Cardenas - taught (and will still teach) me Spanish. She, too, will always stop just to listen to my questions. She enjoys sharing her stories and taught my class to sing in Spanish.
    3. Raimon & Moses - taught me how to play violin. They are like friends more than tutors.
    4. Dr Rosni - taught me Basics of Food Science and Nutrition & Statistics. A lecturer who was and is concerned of his students. He goes all out to teach, while having his jokes at the same time. I enjoyed his lectures.
    5. Dr Yasmin - taught me SPSS (Statistics). A very intellectual person. Always giving advise to her pupils on how to succeed in life.
    6. Dr Lee - taught me Physical Properties of Food. Most of the class are afraid of her. But there is no doubt she is good in teaching.
    7. Mdm Fan - taught me Cell Biology. A soft-spoken person. And loves to teach. It was amazing how she never scolded the class for not paying attention.
    8. Mr Arul, Mr Romzi, Mr. Sohaimi, Mr Jamsari & Pn Ernie - my PPIB lecturers who taught me Study Skills and Techniques, Ethics for Professional, Communication and Professional Speech, Hubungan Etnik & TITAS repectively. They are strict, friendly, funny and dedicated in teaching. I thank God I picked the right sections to be taught by them.

Dear teachers, I thank you for teaching me the things I need to know in class and about life. I am who and where I am today because of you. Thank you for sacrificing your time and effort to educate the younger generation, namely myself. I know it is not easy at all to bear with me. And I thank you that you did. Words could not express all that is written in my heart, but I just want you to know that even after all these years, I have not forgotten you. Thank you for being who you are. Special, precious and wonderful. You are the best. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you once again...

  • Weekends are always busy as ever. But I look forward to them more than my weekdays. Yesterday, Esther woke me up at 8 in the morning and we washed Christine's car together. I didn't know how to wash a car. I only washed once with Eu Gin. And the only thing I did was just spray the car. That was all. But this time, we took turns to wash and of course, she taught me how to do it. She demonstrated on one side and I did the other. She noticed a difference in our washing pattern; she washes from top to bottom before moving to the side. I, on the other hand, will first wash the top parts before moving down.

Then, I made us a simple breakfast (bread + salmon spread + margarine in sandwichmaker) before we went grocery shopping (yay!) at Survey. Next, we headed back to Christine's where Esther made lunch and I made puddings. After which, we rushed to get ready and headed to Skyline for prayer meeting at 3.15 and Campus Life at 5. After dinner, we came back and did the second batch of puddings. My day was pretty productive, I thought.

Today, after lunch, Christine, Esther and the 2 boys (Jonathan and Jeremiah) went to watch Training the Dragon with the youths. They ditched me and I'm stuck here, blogging. Nah... just kidding. I have to finish up all my assignments, reports, tutorial and homework as all of my deadlines are on this week. I feel so dreadful thinking about them. Sigh... God, please help me! I pray that all my group members will give me their best cooperation. Amen!

Oh yes, Ladies Breakthrough Weekend falls on next week (1 - 3 April). Can't wait! Fund raising at church went really well. Praise God for His people's generosity! I guess I will end here. Be blessed everyone. I will most probably return after the Ladies BTW. Just wait and see. ¡Adiós!

  • CNY Dinner

Hi all. Campus Life organised a CNY dinner event at auntie Elizabeth's yesterday (12 March 2010) and  it was great! It was hard to believe we actually organised such event (championed by Esther), and it was especially amazing how God moved hearts. We had 8 people who accepted Christ. Praise God! =)

On Friday night, I chatted with Nick on MSN. He urged me to get a Skype account because grandpa wants to talk to me. He said he wasn't feeling well. I felt touched as I never thought he'd want to see me so desperately. I cried before going to sleep and prayed that God will not take him home so soon, not at least till I have graduated. I really wish that grandpa and grandma can attend my graduation day in KK. Dear all, please keep him in your prayer.

  • Hola!

Greeting from KK, Sabah! I'm not in campus right now, in case you don't know. But I need to leave Christine's place first thing tomorrow morning back to my stuffy room where there is no aircond, tv and the internet! What a bummer...

By right, I don't even know why am I blogging anyways, after abandoning this site for centuries. But then again, this will be just a quick update, if my readers still exist that is.

One of my new year's resolutions this year is to STAY AWAY FROM CHIPS. I bet your first response would be, "Like that's gonna happen". But let me tell you this, I shall prove you wrong, hOpEfUlLy....

Next, I'm taking Spanish this semester and I am praying real hard it ain't as confusing as it seemed. >.<

If ever my dad and/ or mum found their way to this website, then hear me say this out loud:

I LOVE YOU DADDY, I LOVE YOU MUMMY.
And if ever my grandpa and grandma are computer literate, I LOVE YOU, YEYE & MAMA, AND I THINK ABOUT YOU TWO A LOT.
And to my first and only boyfriend, I love you.
But more importantly, Lord, I Love & Trust You to guide my path all the days of my life.
Also, to my bestest buddies, Jo Lyn, Tharini, Kim Yen, Kwan, Jeeva and Parthiban, know that I love you all and I cherish our friendship dearly.

    Signing off with much love,

  • Just Popping By...

Just as Hoonglyn's post says it, i'm just popping by for a rather simple update. Nothing fancy really, as it always was.

Well, time passed by quickly and sure enough, many things happened, whether for the good or bad. To begin with, after my STPM exams, i was suddenly so-very-free just for a few days before getting back on the busy phase. And there i was, alongside Eu Gin, Wai Kit, Keng Yearn and Rachel, the major casts of A Love to Remember, tried making our very first video for the Christmas event in AGC, which, amusingly didn't make it on screen that very day due to lack of experience and preparation, also not forgetting the short span of time given since we thought of doing it only on the very last minute. But thank God it happened at last, and the youths got to watch it during their Christmas camp reunion.

Then again, after a few days break on January, i already started on the working phase as a promoter at The Robinsons, Mid Valley The Gardens and got transfered the next month to Isetan, KLCC. Working at the men's department has its own upside and downside to it and i'm just glad i made some good friends and quitted on the 10th. Just 3 days after, i was back working under the same company doing admin work this time around, until the end of the month. I chose to quit because i felt really cheated. I have to admit my colleagues are nice people, bosses included, but at the rate they were paying me and knowing the fact that i helped in times of emergency since one of their staffs just left, and i didn't even give into consideration other job offers that came to me, and for all that i've done for that company (in which i will not disclose its name), all these were enough to make me leave.

Okay, enough of fretting already! I believe God has a plan for everything that has happened, even if sometimes it took me longer to accept it. Maybe He wants to take some rest, or to do better or more beneficial things. I don't know...

Eu Gin was down with fever, cough and sore throat on Sunday night and i'm glad that atleast i could accompany him while i'm jobless (lol). What a way to put it. But seriously, i was so bothered yesterday at the fact that i'll be so bored today. And guess what? I eased my boredom through online window-shopping. For a few hours, i browsed through 30 over blogshops and i could say that i had quite a fun time. I wouldn't mind doing this for a few days straight but i really hope that i could start working again so that atleast i have a valid reason to shop. Until next time~!
